of Demopolis died on January 18, 2007 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis.

Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis.

The Rev. Terry Gosa officiated. Jesse Wheeler was the Master of Order. Interment followed in Limestone Cemetery in Gallion. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sisters, Cora Blanton of Toledo, Ohio and Sally Collins of Detroit; one niece and caregiver, Flora Harris of Demopolis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

CLEVELAND, Ohio &045; Eddie Thornton, 63, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Newbern died on January 20, 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Salem Baptist Church Baptist Hill in Greensboro. The Rev. Matthew Wilson is the pastor. The Rev. Johnnie Thornton

officiated.

Johnnie Thornton of Birmingham, Emanuel Lewis of Newbern and Joseph Thornton of Uniontown; one aunt, Marzette Watson of Cleveland, Ohio; two uncles, Richard Thornton of Cleveland, Ohio and James Thornton of Newbern; a cousin, Walter Thornton of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of relatives and friends.

COATOPA &045; Thomas Edison Maye, of Coatopa died on January 21, 2007 at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Coatopa. The Rev. Albert Murdock Jr. officiated. GALLION &045; Annie L. Roland, 77, of Gallion died on January 6, 2007 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home. The Rev. Willie Williams officiated. Eddas King-Easley was the Mistress of Order. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. Zion Church in Forkland. The Rev. Stephen Hixie will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

DEMOPOLIS &045; Fannie Allen, 86, of Demopolis died on January 25, 2007 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Terry Gosa will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis. The remains will repose at the church beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
