LINDEN &045; The police department served a search warrant at 609 South Mobile St., Apt. 8, Friday, arresting Alex White for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The department was notified of suspicious behavior surrounding the dwelling, which prompted several weeks of surveillance of the domicile. Police Chief Jeff Laduron said the department gathered enough information form its surveillance to obtain a warrant to search the premises.

The investigation, headed by Sgt. McClure, came to fruition at 4:40 p.m. when the eight-man department, with a K-9 unit, raided the apartment. No officers were injured as the department served the warrant and tuned up enough evidence to arrest White, 25.
