Percy Bradford

BELLAMY &045; Percy Bradford, 70, of Bellamy died on February 11, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Bethel-Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa. The Rev. Floyd Bell is the pastor. The Rev. John Wright officiated. Daisy Carter served as mistress of ceremony. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Coatopa. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Bradford of Bellamy; nine children, Joanne Speight of Moundville, Raymond Oliver Sr. of Birmingham, Edward Killings, Bruce Bradford and Eddie Bradford, all of Bellamy, Sandra Fenn of Elyria, Ohio, Morinda Bradford, Mary Bradford, both of Lorain, Ohio and Caroline Bradford of Livingston; three siblings, Carrie Branch of Bellamy, Jessie Killings of Tuscaloosa and Frank Williams of St. Louis, Mo.; 29 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Viola Benison

BOLIGEE &045; Viola Benison, 51, of Boligee, formerly of Forkland died on February 18, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church in Forkland. The Rev. Clayborn May will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The remains will lie in state beginning at 12 noon on Saturday. Public viewing will be held from 1-6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of the arrangements.

Taylor Harrell Cannon

LINDEN &045; Taylor Harrell Cannon, 70, of Linden died on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at his home in Linden. Funeral services were held at Linden Baptist Church at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2007 with the Revs. W. J. Cannon and Robert Pearce Jr. officiating. Burial was at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion.

He was born October 2, 1936 in Hugo. He was retired from James Rivers Corporation where he worked as a purchasing agent and he was a member of Linden Baptist Church in Linden.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Cannon of Linden; two sons, Taylor Harrell Cannon of Hugo and Clarence Douglas Cannon of Gordo; two daughters, Mary Alison Glass of Linden and Brenda Brackin Cannon of Shiloh; one brother, Tony Earl Cannon of Hugo; five sisters, Elizabeth Schroeder, Sadie McManus and Merle Wingate of Linden, Dorothy Ward of Mount Vernon, Ward Daniels of Mobile, Inez Waiters of Daphne; three granddaughters and two grandsons.

Active Pallbearers were Arnold Matthews, Aubrey Cannon, K.C. Cannon, Pete Bedsole, Pete Wilkinson and George Cannon. Honorary Pallbearers were Asera Care Hospice of Demopolis, Essie Moore and Sonja Dixon.

O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden was in charge of the arrangements.
