OCTAGON &045; Johnny Biggs, 58, of 357 Octagon Rd. in Linden was arrested by the Marengo County Sheriff’s Department Monday for murder.

Inez Watts, 83, was killed Saturday in Octagon. Marengo County Sheriff Jesse Langley said a member of the department picked up Biggs for questioning in the murder Saturday.

Langley said the department has reason to believe Holloway had previously worked for the family of the victim. He said Holloway lived a mile to a mile and a half down the road from the victim.

Holloway was brought in for questioning Saturday at 11:21 p.m. and was charged with murder at 10 p.m. Monday. If convicted of felony murder, Holloway faces a sentence of 20 to 99 years incarceration.

Langley said the department is still investigating the case before it goes to a preliminary hearing, where the department will present its case.
