Hot bats helped propel DHS to victory, head coach Joseph Browder said. Three girls &045; Morgan Patterson, Brandi McGee and Davis &045; all went 2 for 4 on the evening. Corey Gross went 1 for 4, as the Lady Tigers racked up seven hits.

In game two, McGee pitched a full five-inning shutout. She struck out only two batters and walked just one batter as the Lady Tiger defense provided plenty of support in the 3-0 victory.

The bats were hot again, including McGee going 2 for 2. Davis, Brittany Bryant and Nicole Davis were all 1 for 2 at the plate. Patterson went 1 for 3.

The undefeated Demopolis High School softball team will face off against Wilcox County tomorrow night in the first round of the Area Tournament, which will be held in Greenville.
