DEMOPOLIS &045; Local anglers took to the water Saturday participating in the Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual fundraising fishing tournament, but out-of-town anglers claimed the top prize of the competition.

Charles Phillips and Mitchell Hall, both of Linden claimed the second place slot, with their catch weighing in at 11.84 pounds followed by Scott Freeman of Demopolis and Timmy McDaniels of Livingston reeling in 10.96 pounds in third place. Glenn and Patsy McDaniel placed fourth in the competition.

The tournament boasted 32 teams with 63 participants.

The winning team weighing in at 4.72 pounds caught the biggest catch of the tournament.

The tournament is a fundraising tournament for the Chamber.
