Rosie Lily Allen

TUSCALOOSA &8212; Rosie Lily Allen, 81, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Forkland, died recently in Montgomery. Funeral services were held 2007 at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church in Forkland. The Rev. Claborn May officiated.

Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.

Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

She was a member of the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, deaconess, senior choir member, youth director, mission teacher, usher board president and member of Daughters of Ruth Chapter #10 O.E.S. of Tuscaloosa.

Her husband, Edward Allen, preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Robena Johnson and husband, Robert of Wayne, Mich., Brenda Ishman of Jersey City, N.J. and Elizabeth DeRamus and husband, Alfred of Montgomery; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; William Brown Jr., 57, of Demopolis died on May 2, 2007 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Fred Moore officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

The City of Demopolis Street Department employed him for over 26 years.

His mother, Carrie Brown preceded him in death.

Survivors include his father, William Brown Sr. of Demopolis, a sister, Georgia Brown of Birmingham, three aunts, four uncles, nieces, nephews, many close relatives and very good friends.

Michael A. Brown

LORAIN, Ohio &8212; Michael A. Brown, 46, of Lorain, Ohio died on May 1, 2007 in Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Larkin&Scott Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Terry Gosa will officiate.

Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis.

He is the grandson of the late Mrs. Frankie Waters of Demopolis; son of Joseph Shrupshire Sr. and Ruthie Brown Shrupshire of Elyria, Ohio; nephew of Lois Wilson and husband, Bobby, of Gallion, Maxine Barlow and husband, Booker, of Tuscaloosa and Louis Waters Jr. of Demopolis.

Viola Jones-Kemp

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Viola Jones-Kemp, 57, of Demopolis died on May 7, 2007 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 11, 2007 at the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Willie Williams Eulogist.

Interment followed in Mount Cannan Cemetery in Gallion. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

The remains will repose at the church beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Her husband, Samuel Lee Jones and son, Ronald Jones and one brother, Dave Kemp preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children, Anthony Kemp, Angela Jones and Timothy Jones, all of Demopolis; a sister and caretaker, Louise Kemp Oden of Demopolis; four brothers, Jimmie Kemp and wife, Linette of Panama City, Fla., John Kemp and wife, Lena of Demopolis, Robert Kemp and wife, Debra, of Mobile and Charles Kemp of Mobile; six grandchildren; granddaughter, Jessica Jones; one great-grandchild; three aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

James Willard &8220;Jimmy&8221; Glass Sr.

FAUNSDALE &8212; James Willard &8220;Jimmy&8221; Glass Sr. died on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Faunsdale Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George McKee officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Cemetery with Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors of Demopolis in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Glass will lie in state one hour prior to the service time at the church.

The Glass family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
