DEMOPOLIS &8212; Known for her cuteness and friendliness, Sandy Mays said she enjoys talking with people and meeting new friends on a daily basis.

Davis began work as a sales executive for The Demopolis Times Monday.

Sam R. Hall, editor and publisher of The Times, said Mays brings a youth, vigor and excitement to the advertising staff.

Mays said she has worked in sales since completing school at Demopolis High in 2005.

Mays said she left Demopolis for a year and moved to Montgomery, but returned home last year and has been trying to find her niche in sales since.

Brandy Phillips, advertising director of The Times, said she, too, is excited about Mays joining the staff.

Mays is the daughter of Ken Mays and Vanessa Mills, both of Demopolis. She is has three sisters, one brother and a dog named B.B.

Mays said she enjoys fishing and playing poker in her spare time.
