DEMOPOLIS &8212; Demopolis welcomed a new fast-food eatery in town today with the opening of a Jack&8217;s Family Restaurants location this morning.

Known for their award winning made from scratch buttermilk biscuits and signature sandwich, the &8220;BIG JACK&8221;, Jack&8217;s is well known for their specialties.

The opening of the Demopolis location will make the 91st unit for the Birmingham based company. All members of the management team are residents of Demopolis. Benny LaRussa, CEO and owner of Jack&8217;s Family Restaurants, said he is excited about opening a store in Demopolis.

The philosophy used through the staff approach is what LaRussa believes will be the sustaining force of the company in the future.

LaRussa said Jack&8217;s is proud to promote the Demopolis store as a drug-free workplace.

Jack&8217;s has a diverse menu, which includes fried chicken, hamburgers, salads

and a breakfast menu.

The Demopolis location will feature BlueBell ice cream with eight popular ice cream flavors.

In business for 47 years, Jack&8217;s opened its first location in Homewood as a walk-up hamburger stand.

Presently, Jack&8217;s restaurants are located throughout North Alabama with locations also in Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia.
