Louise Rancher-Jones

EUTAW &8212; Louise Rancher-Jones, 81, of Eutaw died June 7, 2007 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Clinton with the Rev. Joseph Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the ajoining cemetery with McInnis Mortuary of Eutaw directing.

Visitation was from 1-6 p.m. Monday at the mortuary and an hour before service time at the church. McInnis Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Jack Edward Ballard Sr.

BIRMINGHAM &8212; Jack Edward Ballard Sr. of Birmingham, 65, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in Birmingham.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Place of interment will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2007 at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel.

Kirk Funeral Homes Marion will be in charge of the graveside services.

Ballard was born on March 25, 1942. He was the owner of Alpha Glass and Mirror since the inception of the company in March 1988.

He was a member of North Park Baptist Church.

Ballard&8217;s parents were Donnie Ben and Eva Gray Ballard who preceded him in death.

His sister, Mildred Ballard Hamm and his father-in-law, Edward L. Pinfield Sr, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Grace Ballard, of Birmingham; his daughter, Beth and husband, David Evans Sr.; his son: Jack Edward Ballard Jr.; sisters, Dorothy B. Bryan of Florence, S.C. and Jeanette B. Cross of Springville; four granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Ada Lucille Hughey McCrary

PASCAGOULA, Miss. &8212; Ada Lucille Hughey McCrary, 94, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Monday, June 4, 2007 in Mobile.

Services will take place at the Ephesus Baptist Church in Perry County, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Burial will be at the church cemetery; the presiding clergy is the Rev. Henry LeVert. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church before the funeral. Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

McCrary was born in Sprott, on Jan. 3, 1913.

Her parents were Dee and Mary Holley Hughey. McCrary and her husband moved to Pascagoula to be near her daughter, Zoie Wallace Graham and her family.

Her husband, Francis Euell McCrary, died in Jan. of 2001.

Although she dearly missed her lifetime home in Marion, she came to love her new home in Pascagoula, as well.

Her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many new friends, surrounded her.

She transformed her yard into a beautiful garden, sharing her love of flowers with all those she met.

She enjoyed trips to the Farmer&8217;s Market, picking peaches, flower shows and fishing.

Her grandchildren fondly remember her icebox cookies, banana pudding and eggplant casseroles. She was always ready for an adventure and made friends everywhere she went.

Survivors include her daughter: Zoie Wallace Graham and her husband, Charles E. Graham, of Pascagoula, Miss.; her sister: Juliette Hughey Pitts and her husband, Henry Lewis Pitts, of Sprott; two brothers: Richard Franklin Hughey of Sprott and Douglas Haig Huey and his wife, Annie Bee Huey, of Sprott; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Charles E. Graham, III, David Madison Graham Jr., Christopher Wallace Graham, Nathan Allen Graham, Jackson Paul Graham Roland and Joseph Mestayer IV.

Annette Larkin-Williams

UNIONTOWN &8212; Annette Larkin-Williams, 44, of Uniontown died on May 30, 2007 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church in Uniontown. The Rev. Ronnie Cook officiated. Interment followed in Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Faunsdale.

Survivors include a husband, Mark Williams of Uniontown; three children, Mark Williams, Bryan Williams and Ashley Nicole Williams, all of Uniontown; one step-daughter, Stacy Bass of Uniontown; parents, Madison and Ollie Larkin of Uniontown; three sisters, a twin sister, Jeanette Larkins, Cohann Larkins and Joan L. Lucy and husband, Steve, all of Uniontown; six brothers, Frank Larkin of Uniontown, Barry Larkin and wife, Shirley of Atmore, Carl Larkin of Uniontown, Gregory Larkin and wife, Ola of Uniontown, George Larkin of Pensacola, Fla. and Madison Larkin Jr., and wife, Lillie, of Demopolis; one cousin, Zakiyyah Bergan of South Euclid, Ohio; three aunts, Irene Echols of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Walker of Detroit, Mich., and Leatrice Larkin of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a

host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Jesse J. Brown

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Jesse J. Brown, 57, of Demopolis died on May 26, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev. Sid Rowser officiated.

Deacon Jesse Wheeler was the Master of Order. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Ava, of Mobile; special cousins, Parker families, of Detroit, Mich., Linden and Thomaston.

Berta Scott

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Berta Scott, 91, of Demopolis died on June 1, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Fred Moore officiated. Magnolia Dill was the Mistress of Order.

Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin and Scott funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include nine children, Ida Coleman, Annie Ferrell, Mattie L. Scott, Wiley Scott, Robert Jones, Diane Williams and husband, Richard, all of Chicago, Billie Davis and husband Eddie, Johnny Scott and William Scott, all of Demopolis; 53 grandchildren, 109 great-grandchildren, 59 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Katie Dillard, 63, of Demopolis died on June 4, 2007 in Selma.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. James Dunn officiated.

Sister Virginia Goodlett was the Mistress of Ceremony.

Interment followed in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Josephine Brown, 89, of Demopolis died on June 9, 2007 at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Ga.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. James L. Dunn is the pastor. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens in Demopolis. The remains will repose at the church beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Family hour will be held from 7 p.m. until. 8 p.m. on Friday at the Larkin&Scott Funeral Home Chapel.

BOLIGEE &8212; Donald Cmar Sr., of the Dollarhide Community in Boligee died recently at his residence. Memorial services will be announced later. The remains will be cremated.

TUSCALOOSA &8212; Infant Kyshaun D. Peoples, 2 months-old of Tuscaloosa died on June 5, 2007 in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services were held at noon on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Knott Cemetery in Boligee. The Rev. Curtis Rembert officiated.

Interment followed in Knott Cemetery in Boligee. Larkin&Scott funeral directors of Demopolis was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a mother, Shuquita Davis of Tuscaloosa; two brothers, Christian and Dae&8217;marion Davis of Tuscaloosa; grandmothers, Mildred Norman of Linden and Vivian Peoples of Enterprise; grandfather, Cleophus Norman Sr. of Demopolis; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
