Celia L. Hill

FAUNSDALE &8212; Celia L. Hill, 65, of Faunsdale died on July 17, 2007, at Bryan W. Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Allenville Community in Faunsdale. The Rev. James R. Murdock will officiate. Interment will follow in Allenville Cemetery in Allenville. The remains will repose at the church beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Martha Apkin Ervin

EUTAW &8212; Martha Apkin Ervin, 64, of Eutaw, died July 16, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church in Wadgeworth in Hale County, with the Rev. Willie Tillman Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the McCurter Cemetery with McInnis Mortuary of Eutaw directing. Visitation is today from 1 until 7 p.m. at the mortuary and an hour prior to the service at the church.

Lillian Freeman

GREENVILLE &8212; Lillian Freeman, of Greenville formerly of Demopolis died on July 16, 2007, at Crowne Nursing Facility in Greenville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. James L. Dunn is the pastor. The Rev. Michael Foster will officiate.

Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis.

The remains will repose at the church beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Public viewing will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Eastern Star Hour will be held from 5 until 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Roy Jones Jr.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Roy Jones Jr., 62, of Demopolis died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his home. Funeral services are incomplete at this time.

Mildred Marie Nichols

BIRMINGHAM &8212; Mildred Marie Nichols of Birmingham died Sunday July 15, 2007, at Ashton Gables Assisted Living in Birmingham. Funeral services were held at O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2007, with the Revs. Donald Cannon and Kenny Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Linden Memorial Park, in Linden.

She was born December 6, 1931, in Hugo. She worked as an executive secretary and she was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden.

Her husband, Charles Melvin Nichols; parents, Charles and Myrtle B. Cannon; sister, Peggy Ann Cannon and sister, Mary Ethel Ratliff, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Corr and husband, Bryan of Oneonta; her son, Charles Michael Nichols of West Point, Miss; her daughter, Carol Ann Turner of Linden, her sister, Nell Q. Noland and husband, Arthur of Sweet Water; her sister, Cheryl Ann Malone and husband, Kenny of Champion Gate, Fla.; her brother, Charles Earl Cannon and wife, Wynette of Prattville; brother, Fred Davis Cannon and wife, Susan of Dothan; brother, Bobby James Cannon of Linden; brother, Ronald Cannon and wife, Felecia of

Chapin, S.C.; brother, Donald Cannon and wife, Janet

of Johnston City, Ill., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice Services, 2204 Lakeshore Drive, Suite 160, Homewood, AL, 35209 (checks payable to Hospice Christian Foundation), or to Linden Baptist Church Building Fund or Forest Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.

Active pallbearers were Michael Nichols, Bryan Alan Corr Jr., Joe Quinney, Pete Wilkinson, Coleman Carlton and Jack McClinton.

Honorary pallbearers were Vickie Zeigler, Annette Goodgain, Tamel Goodgain, Dorothy Nelson and Emma Reliford.

Bennie Wayne Johnson

BOLIGEE &8212; Bennie Wayne Johnson, 71, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at The First Presbyterian Church of Boligee, with Dr. John Warner and the Rev. Dan Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mark&8217;s Episcopal Cemetery in Boligee with Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of the arrangements. The Johnson family will receive friends Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007, at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home.

Johnson&8217;s parents, Bennie Lee Johnson and Della Mae Nealey Johnson; his sister, Edith Ebby and his brother, Clifton Johnson preceded him in death.

Johnson was born in Crockett, Texas and has lived in Boligee for the past 20 years and is a former resident of Demopolis for 14 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Boligee and worked in the grocery distribution business for 45 years.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Kathy Johnson of Boligee; two daughters, Eloise Tucker of Gallion, Sandra Judkins of Lake Tawakoni, Texas; three sons, James Lacy and wife, Terri Lewers of Mesquite, Texas, Larry Wayne Johnson and wife, Cindy and Danny Ray and wife, Shelia, all of Lake Tawakoni, Texas; two sisters, Lorene Corbitt of Grand Prairie and Dorothy Buckhanan of Forney, Texas; one brother, Ray Johnson and wife, Bonnie of Greenville, Texas; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ebey, Preston Hampton, Lemuel Kemp, Vernon Kemp, Wayne Kemp, Jacob McGee, Mark Pederson and Shane Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff of the second floor Oncology Unit of DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa; management and employees of South Fresh; Thed H. Spree, Kee Spree, Jeff Tucker, Steve Tucker, Randy Walton, Earl Sorrell and Sage Spree.
