Roy Stanley Jones Jr.

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Roy Stanley Jones Jr., 62, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis with Dr. Allen Atkins officiating. Military burial will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell with military honors by the United States Air Force. The Jones family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. Sunday, at Fairhaven Baptist Church.

Jones was the Owner and Operator of Jones Oil Co. of Demopolis. He was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church, Gideon&8217;s International and the Bethel Baptist Builders. He served in the United States Air Force, The Department of Defense and The National Security Agency.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne H. Jones, of Demopolis; two daughters, Summer Mims and husband, Kacy of Randolph and Heather Gorman and husband, Chris of Maine; one son, Dr. Bryan Jones of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Karly Mims and Anna Margaret Jones, his parents, Roy S. Jones Sr. and Adella Jones, both of Selma; one sister, Dea Rogers and husband, Billy, of Powder Springs, Ga.; one brother, Alan Jones and wife, Harriette, of Selma and a host of nieces and nephews.
