Mark Shane Sealy

THOMASTON &8212; Mark Shane Sealy, 52, of Thomaston died Aug. 16, 2007 at the Long Term Hospital of Tuscaloosa. Funeral services for Sealy were set for 4 p.m. on Saturday at O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home. Interment was in the Magnolia Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Cemetery in Magnolia.

Sealy was born on Sept. 25, 1954, in Arlington and was a member of the Magnolia Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was employed as electrician with Weyehaeuser.

He is survived by wife, Pamela J. Sealy of Thomaston, one daughter, Amy Sealy-Martin and husband, Shannon, of Thomaston, one granddaughter; two brothers, Michael Sealy of Bridgeport and Wardel Scaly of St. Elmo; one sister, Sherry Gibson and husband, Jimmy of Grand Bay.

Pallbearers were Sammy Cannon, Aubrey Cannon, Clyde Bolen, Al Moseley, Dennis Mendenhall, Dan Gunter, Pat Campbell and Buddy Stephens. Honorary pallbearers were Fiberline E&I crew.

Mary Eloise Jackson

BIRMINGHAM &8212; Mary Eloise Jackson, 63, of Birmingham, formerly of Demopolis, were held at noon Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She died Aug. 10, 2007, at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. The Rev. Anderson is the pastor. The Rev. Anderson Ayers officiated. Interments followed in Coleman Cemetery with Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were entrusted with arrangements.

She was born to the late T.J. and Daisy Robertson Smith. She attended the BMCC School of Nursing of Brooklyn, N.Y. and retired from the V.A. Hospital in 2006 and Cooper Green Hospital.

Survivors include a husband, Lewis Jackson of Birmingham; her daughter, Toni Renee Thompson and husband, Larry of Dallas; step-mother, Mary Smith of Gallion; sisters, Willadean Houston and husband, Richard, of Birmingham, Inez Smith Pittman, Lillian Wood, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Evelyn Smith of Forest Hills, N.Y.; Brothers, Robert T Smith and wife, Rosa of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Thomas J. Smith and wife, Carolyn, of Southfield, Mich.; foster-sister, Natasha Smith, of Gallion and a host relatives, friends and loved ones.

Robert Lee James

LOUISVILLE, K.Y. &8212; Funeral services were held for Robert Lee James of Louisville, K.Y., formerly of Elyria Ohio, were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, the Millwood Primitive Baptist Church in Pennington. James died on Aug. 11, 2007, at his residence. The Rev. Marvin Johnson is the pastor. The Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiated. Regina Ridgeway was the mistress of order.

Interment followed in Crandall Cemetery in Pennington with Larkin&Scott Funeral directors in charge of the services. Survivors include his wife, Kim, and son, Aaron and Brandon of Elyria, Ohio; sister, Laverne Gamble and husband, Ronald, of Sweet Water; brothers, Adrian and wife, LaTasha, Arvell and wife, Shakita James of Lorain, Ohio, Lee James of Columbus, Ohio, Keith King and wife, Kate, of Atlanta; Leon King and wife, Danielle, of Birmingham; one granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Emma J. Harris Bell

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Funeral services for Emma J. Harris Bell, of Demopolis, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at the Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church in Old Springhill. She died recently at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. The Rev. Moses C. Jones is the pastor. The Rev. Lacornia Harris will officiate. Internment will follow in Memorial Gardens in Demopolis. Her remains will lie in state at the church beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Public viewing will be held from 1 until 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, LaVerne Bell Bean, and husband, Charles, of Birmingham; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lela Davis of Detroit and a host of other relatives and friends.

Olivia Wilson Lawson

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Funeral services for Olivia Wilson Lawson of Demopolis will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Terry Gosa will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. The remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday beginning at noon. Lawson died Saturday morning at South Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Public viewing will be held from 1until 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home chapel.

Survivors include a husband, Mennis Lawson, of Demopolis; a mother, Mary Wilson of Demopolis; eight children, Michael and wife, Joann, of Dothan, Patrick and wife, Shondra, of Dothan, Chris Wilson of Dothan, Demetia Wilson of Dothan, Brandon Wilson of Dothan, Taneshia of Dothan, Mennis Tyrell Lawson and Reginald Tyrone Lawson of Demopolis; 22 grandchildren; five brothers and four sisters, the Rev. Tommy Wilson of Montgomery, James Wilson III, Johnny Wilson and Ernest Wilson, all of Dothan; Floyd Wilson of Montgomery; Alice McIntosh, of Demopolis, Mary Carter of Birmingham, Louise Wilson of Dothan and Marrie Wilson of

Demopolis; a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Jake Ayers III

BIRMINGHAM &8212; Funeral Services for Jake Ayers III of Birmingham, formerly of Gallion, will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 21 at Bushelon Funeral Home Chapel in Birmingham.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Ayers Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rowser; two daughters, one son, three grandchildren; one aunt, Ella Mae Rowser, whom he resided with during his early childhood years.
