Williams said the first team group displayed great conditioning in the first half, noting that the group did not seem winded going into the half. He said along with the good he can take from the game, there were also some dark spots that need addressing before the start of the regular season.

Williams said the group stalled on a couple of drives and also had a touchdown called back due to a penalty, which he will also work on with his team. He said the second half, where J.U. Blacksher scored its two touchdowns, was largely a chance for his second unit to get playing time, as the first units only played one drive to start the half.
