John and Jennifer Courtney of Pelham welcome their son, Charles Anthony. Charles was born on Aug. 10, 2007, and weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long.

He is the grandson of Rex and Kay Courtney of Gallion, and Charlene and Phillip Leon of Pelham.

Maternal great-grandmothers are Virginia Guercio and Theresa Leon of Birmingham.

Paternal great-grandmothers are Minnie Foxhall of Gallion and Betty Walsh of Yakima, Wash.

Charles is welcomed home by his big sister, Katelyn.
