DEMOPOLIS &8212; The Patriots are heading into tonight&8217;s game against Akron High School with serious depth issues after a week of injuries that has depleted the team&8217;s ranks.

Linden High School coach Andro Williams said the group has five players either out for the game or questionable heading into the regional match up. On top of that, he said the group has had limited practice time due to weather and a player injury on the field, which has hampered the group in making adjustments to make up for the athletes missing.

Williams said he doesn&8217;t feel confident about what the team was able to get accomplished or the personnel adjustments that are needed going into the game.

The Patriots&8217; injuries aren&8217;t limited to any specific position, but Williams said the lines on both sides of the ball are looking suspect. The teams starting center is out with a twisted ankle, moving the quick tackle to the center spot.

The group&8217;s backup quarterback, who is also important to the linebacker core, is also out for the week. Williams said the back up fullback, too, is out with an injured knee.

Williams said with the youth of the team having to step up and the lack of practice time, basic schemes will help limit the mistakes that are bound to occur during the game. With all of the team&8217;s adversity this week, Williams said Akron definitely is coming in with the advantage of stability on their side.
