Mr. and Mrs. George L. &8220;Buddy&8221; Flowers Jr., of Gallion, would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Lynn Flowers of Demopolis, to Michael DeWayne Thomas of Demopolis.

Miss Flowers is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Flowers Sr., of Gallion and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie E. Allen of Thomasville. She is employed with Keen Chiropractic Clinic.

Mr. Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve &8220;Jean&8221; Evans of Destin, Fla. and Mr. Mike Thomas of Demopolis. He is the grandson of Ms. Georgia Compton of Demopolis and the late Edward Compton of Demopolis, and Ms. Katie Thomas of Gallion and the late Robert Thomas of Gallion, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans of Winona, Miss. He is employed with Fitzhugh Contracting LLC.

The wedding will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2007, at Millers Banquet Building in Greensboro.
