LINDEN &8212; David Pitts Holley, 87, died Sept. 30, 2007, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services for Holley were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Linden Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Gunnells and Dr. Creel officiating. Interment was at Linden Memorial Park in Linden. The O&8217;Bryant Chapel funeral home in Linden directed.
He was born Oct. 8, 1919, in Pisgah; he was a retired forestry consultant and a member of Linden Baptist Church in Linden.
Holley was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Holley.
He is survived by four sons, James Holley and wife, Carolyn, of Monroeville, Edwin Holley and wife, Ruth, of Clayton, Wayne Holley and wife, Lora, of Monroeville and Keith Holley and wife, Becky, of Demopolis, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be to the Linden Baptist Church Building Fund in Linden.
The active pallbearers were Jeffrey Holley, Jason Holley, P.J. Holley, Derek Holley, David Holley, Austin Holley and Logan Holley.
