DIXONS MILLS &8212; With a weeks rest leading into their game against Frisco City, Marengo High School still couldn&8217;t manage to find an extra point kicker, something that cost the team dearly in their only loss this season to J.F. Shields High School.
Not that it would mater though. The Panthers shut out Frisco City&8217;s Whippets 18-0, while missing all three field goal attempts.
The group&8217;s first touchdown came off a quarterback sneak from James Bennett from two yards out in the second quarter. Bennett got in on another that quarter by hurling a 46-yard pass to Hakeem Hildreth. Marengo High School wrapped up the scoring on the night in the fourth quarter with a 2-yard touchdown by O.J. Woods.
The Panthers are 4-1 on the season and travel to Fruitdale High School next week.
