MERIDIAN, Miss. &8212; Joel Thomas Culpepper, 47, of Meridian, Miss., died on Oct. 9, 2007, in Meridian. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12, 2007, at the Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Tomsuba, Miss. Visitation at Bumpers Funeral Home was from 6 until 8 p.m., Oct.11, 2007, the Rev. Allen Blackburn was the officiating clergy.

He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Culpepper.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Culpepper, of York, two sisters, Dorothy Rainer of York and Peggy Jones of Waycross, Ga.; two brothers, Danny Stephens of Bay Minette and Mike Stephens of Dearing, Ga. and numerous nieces and nephews.
