Bulldogs pin Stallions 61-0

MILLPORT &8212; As they have done all season, the No. 1 Sweet Water Bulldogs hit the road and made their visiting site a home away from home. This week Sweet Water set up shop at South Lamar High School and dominated the Stallions to a 61-0 victory.

The &8217;Dogs racked up 440 total yards in the game, largely due to 44 rushes for 352 yards. The group went to the air eight times in the game and completed four for 88 yards.

South Lamar, though was a little harder pressed, as they only had two first downs to Sweet Water&8217;s 19. The Stallions ran 26 times for negative 16 yards and completed five of 10 passes for 39 yards, for 23 total yards.

Anthony Landrum lead the Sweet Water ground attack with 11 carries for 67 yards and 3 touchdowns, one of which came off a 60-yard kick return. Johnny Lockett followed second with four rushes for 49 yards and two touchdowns.

On the special teams side Cordaryl Curtis blocked a Stallions punt, which resulted in a safety for Sweet Water.

The Bulldogs spread the ball around when it came to the end zone against the Stallions with six players scoring; Scorers were Demarcus Williams, Landrum, Desmond Bouler, Drew Luker, Lockett and Curtis.

The win moves Sweet Water to 7-0 on the season and 5-0 in their region. The group wraps up its regions play, in which it has already secured the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs, next week at home with homecoming against John Essex High School.
