Ernest Alvin Lolley

LINDEN &8212; Ernest Alvin Lolley, 76, of Linden, died Oct. 17, 2007, at his home. Funerals services for Lolley were held at Linden Baptist Church at 3 p.m., on Oct. 21, 2007, with Dr. Randy Creel and Dr. Jerry Gunnells officiating. Interment will follow in Linden Memorial Park in Linden. O&8221;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directed.

He was born Aug.18, 1931, in Uniontown, to Clifton and Dera Lolley. He is a retired machine operator from James Rider Corporation. He was also a former Marengo County Deputy Sheriff and Linden City Councilman. He was a member of Linden Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

His wife, Reba Snow Lolley, two brothers, Raymond O. Lolley and Melvin C. Lolley, precedes him in death.

Two sons, Robert Keith Lolley of Marietta, Ga. and Charles Richard &8220;Rick&8221; Lolley and wife, Jenise, of Van Buren, Ark.; two sisters, Dera Lafata of Selma and Coleman Rainey of Selma; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, survive him.

Active pallbearers were John Mansfield, Dennis Mason, Ed, Singleton, Harry Huckabee, Joe Falls, and Johnny Arnett. Honorary Pallbearers were Brady Creel, Jack Crocker, Oscar Spencer, Warren Stokes, Hubert Thornton and the Men&8217;s III Sunday School Class of Linden Baptist Church.
