Pearl Singley Adams

MOUNDVILLE &8212; Pearl Singley Adams, 95, of Moundville, died Oct. 23, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services for Adams are set for 11 a.m. on Thursday at Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel. Interment will follow at Ramey&8217;s Chapel Cemetery. Robert Ferguson and Chris Kynard will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.

Pearl Singley Adams was born Feb. 2, 1912 in Hale County to Jube and Edna Payne Singley.

She is survived by five daughters: Sue Lathum and her husband, Raymond, of Greensboro; Odean Smith of Prattville; Judy Montz and her husband, Fineos, of Tuscaloosa; Lorene Allen and her husband Johnny, of Eutaw; Peggy De Pew and her husband, Mel, of Pell City; Jo Drake and her husband, Alpheus, of Greensboro; three sons: Henry Adams and wife, Lucy, of Greensboro; Andy Adams and wife, Shirley, of Greensboro; Buck Adams and wife, Shirley, of Decatur; one sister: Elizabeth Rudhart of Greensboro, 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Wayne Adams, Rick Smith, Dennis Drake, Rodney Alverson, Jerry Latum, Ray Allen and Mike Adams.

Honorary pallbearers are Ramey&8217;s Chapel Church members, Macedonia Church members, special sitters, Comfort Care Hospice, friends and neighbors, a host of nieces and nephews.
