They have emerged from the gauntlet of games that lead to the post season with the No. 2 seed in their region behind juggernaut Southern Academy &8212; the only team they fell to in their region.

They are going on the road to Mobile to face the No. 10 ranked team in the Alabama Independent School Association, the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors.

Little said his group is making adjustments to the spread offense they are soon to face. He said they have played a spread offense before, but Cottage Hill is efficient.

And a win against Cottage Hill, who Marengo Academy has faced regularly for the past several years, might be one for the record books, as Cottage Hill has applied to the Alabama High School Athletic Association. If their application goes through, the move will mean an end to the game between the two currently private schools.
