William Paget Westbrook

DEMOPOLIS &8212; William Paget Westbrook, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, at Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden with the Revs. Brooks Barkley and Tony Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in Old Linden Cemetery with Military Honors being given by the United States Army Honor Guard. Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of the services. The family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007.

Westbrook was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden, a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired automobile mechanic.

Westbrook was preceded in death by his parents, George Willie Westbrook and Lucy Leona Griffith Westbrook.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Stokes Westbrook, of Demopolis; five daughters, Debbie Foxhall of Demopolis, Donna Stokes and husband, Ronnie, of Thomaston, Dottie Trotter and husband, Tommy, of Gallion, Dianne Green and husband, Daryl, of Surginer and Dale Smith and husband, Danny, of Demopolis; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Foxhall, Jonathan Foxhall, Jason Stokes, Michael Trotter, Billy Trotter and Freddie Steen Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be TSICU nurses and staff at DCH; Amedisys Home Health Providers, Anna Yeager, Thomas E. Vaughan, Harry Britton; Dr. Paul F. Ketcham and Dr. Keith A. Dismukes of Demopolis; Dr. Nicholas Knight of Selma; Dr. Grant Strong of VA and Dr. Ferguson of DCH.
