LINDEN &8212; Bettie J. Edwards Johnson, 67, of Linden, died Dec. 17, 2007, at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Moscow Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Timothy Page is the pastor. The Rev. Robert Pearce Jr. officiated.
Interment followed in Moscow Cemetery in Demopolis.
Jesse Wheeler is the master of order. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Neal Johnson, of Gallion; four children, Robert Edwards and wife, Johnnie, of Jefferson, Janice Rogers of Linden, Sharon Haywood and husband, Sidney, of Montgomery and Sherry Johnson of Montgomery; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Eugene Jones and wife, Jackie, of Pinebush, N.Y. and Stanley Kirkland of Sumter, S.C; two sisters, Orbidella Henry and husband, Clyde, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Emily Jones Mitchell of Norfolk, Va.; three siblings, Vera Inge Washington, Thomas Curray Harris and Edison Jones, along with her parents, Bettie Jean Edwards Johnson, and adoptive parents, Stone and Ethel Edwards all preceded her in death.
