DEMOPOLIS &045; Mary Frances Griffin, 76, of Demopolis, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at Colonial Haven Health and Rehab in Greensboro. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007 at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing services. The Griffin Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until the service time.
Griffin was a retired seamstress for Vanity Fair and a member of Westside Baptist Church in Demopolis.
Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, Auklee Baker and Ola Mae Wright Baker, her brother, Herman Baker, her sister, Neil Smith, and her son, Jerry Griffin.
Survivors include her husband Vernon H. &8220;Billy&8221; Griffin of Demopolis; one son, Joe Griffin of Birmingham; six sisters, Myrle Smith, Faye Hall and husband, Red, all of Demopolis, Betty Lee Easterling and husband, C.D., Elnora Baker, Shirley Colburn and husband, John, and Nancy Lockhart, all of Clanton;
four brothers, Charles Wayne Baker and wife, Rhonda, Evert Ray Baker and wife, Karen, and Billy Baker and wife, Judy, all of Clanton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Griffin family will accept flowers or donations to Westside Baptist Church 801 Maria Ave. Demopolis, Ala. 36732.
