Dorothy Best Sorrells

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Dorothy Best Sorrells, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at her home. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville with Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors directing services. The family received friends at the funeral home at 10 a.m., Monday.
Sorrells was born in Luverne, a resident of Demopolis for the past 12 years, a former resident of Selma, Uniontown and a member of Uniontown Church of God.
Sorrells was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sorrells, daughter, Ann Briney, son, Rickey Sorrells, two granddaughters, Mitzi Sorrells and Kimberly Sorrells, six sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Mayton and husband, Dixie, of Demopolis, Reba Drinkard of Selma and Renee Sorrells of Demopolis; two sons, Earl Sorrells and wife, Bonnie, of Demopolis and Jerry Sorrells and wife, Debbie, of Selma; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Williamson, Randall Williamson, Bill Sorrells, Ryan Sorrells, Jeremy Grindle and Kevin Sorrells.
