DEMOPOLIS &8212; It was a complete role reversal for Demopolis High School tennis Wednesday afternoon as the girls carried 12 of the team&8217;s 14 total match victories to get the home win over Hillcrest 14-11.

The boys&8217; draw typically anchors the squad. However, despite hard-fought matches throughout, the boys landed only two victories.

Eighth-grader Walker McNeil continued his strong play out of the No. 1 seed, defeating Thomas Harold 6-3. Eighth-graders Parker Coleman and Neilson Renner landed the 6-4 win over James Cox and Tyler Corson during doubles play.

The girls took 12 of their 13 matches to rebound from their early week struggles against American Christian Academy.
