WORCHESTER, Mass. &8212; Irvin Harris Gilbert, 76, of Worchester, Mass., formerly of Demopolis, died April 8, 2008, at Blair House Hospice of Worchester. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Fred Moore officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include companion, Maria Gemei, of Worchester; three sisters, Marie White and husband, John, of Marrero, La., Mary Francis Payne of Demopolis and Minnie Foster and husband, Ted, of Los Angeles; one brother, Thomas Gilbert and wife, Carrie, of Demopolis; one godson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
