DEMOPOLIS &8212; After collapsing in the last game against Dallas County, the Tigers put together a solid showing against Northridge, pulling the 8-0 win in their regular season home finale Tuesday.

The Tigers got the offense working early when Jasmine Simmons drew a leadoff walk in the first inning. The senior shortstop proceeded to steal second and third bases before swiping home to give the Tigers the 1-0 lead.

Senior Sara Davis stepped to the plate later in the inning, swatting a homerun to hand Demopolis a two-run cushion. That lead proved to be enough as Davis struck out 11 batters, surrendering only three hits in the game.

The Tigers added two runs in the third inning when Samantha Walker and Devin Latham scored on a Victoria Morgan single. Simmons and Latham each crossed the plate for the second time in the fourth inning. Jordon Cramer and Kristin Beech scored the game&8217;s final two runs on a Kathleen Randall double.

The Tigers will next play Thursday when they visit Prattville in a contest Browder hopes will help ready his team for area tournament action.
