LAKE CITY, Fla. &8212; Bessie Cooper Anderson, 85, of Lake City, Fla., died May 15, 2008, at her daughter&8217;s home in Gallion. Funeral services were held at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lake City, Fla., on May 19, 2008, with the Rev. Ben Coleman officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden were in charge of the services.

She was a native of Old Town, Fla. and had been a resident of Lake City since 1939, having moved there from Dixie County, Fla. Anderson was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church Fellowship Baptist Church in Lake City. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Anderson, and a son, Mitchell Dale Anderson Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Collins and husband, Scotty, of Gallion; one brother, Cecil Cooper, of New Hampshire; two sisters, Gladys Dean and Colleen Judah and husband, Kuhlman, both of Chiefland, Fla.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
