SWEET WATER &8212; The Rev. Arthur C. Noland Jr., 70, of Sweet Water, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Riley Memorial Hospital in Meridian, Miss. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Campground United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing services. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel.
Noland was a native and lifelong resident of Sweet Water, a member of Campground United Methodist Church in Sweet Water, a retired ordained Methodist minister. The Rev. Noland was a retired employee of Georgia Pacific after more than 40 years of service and he was a former member of Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Nelle Quinney Noland, of Sweet Water; two daughters, Lisa N. Anderson and her husband, Darren, of Demopolis, and Monica Cox and her husband, Ronnie, of Gallion; three grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Dillion and husband, A.W., of Kernersville, N.C.; one brother, Truman Noland and wife, Fay, of Sweet Water and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roger Gunter, Earnest Tims, Pete Wilkinson, Henry Morgan, Kenny Freeman and Andy Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Methodist Children&8217;s Home, P.O. Box 830, Selma, AL, 36702-0830.
