The Fleming name is no unfamiliar one in Demopolis.
Almost instantly, one thinks of distinctive portraiture without having to leave town, and thanks to Rob Fleming, that holds true today.
Rob&8217;s father, Don Fleming, started his photography business in 1980 here in Demopolis. Initially, Don and his wife Anne operated their business out of their home.
After his business grew, Don moved into his studio, where Rob handles day-to-day operations now.
Rob, who majored in English and received a minor in journalism from the University of West Alabama, started working alongside his father in 1994, when Don began considering retirement.
In 1996, Rob married the former Beth Collins. The couple has one son, Alex, who is seven-years-old and going to second grade. Beth teaches second grade at Westside Elementary School in Demopolis.
After his father&8217;s death in November of 2006, Rob took over the studio and Anne still manages the business aspect of the operation.
For over 25 years, the Flemings have been the name of photography in the area, and according to Rob, there&8217;s still a lot of pictures to be taken.
