Tiger practice lacks intensity

DEMOPOLIS &8212; The Tigers had what head coach Tom Causey considered the first down day of the summer during Tuesday&8217;s weekly practice session.
The second-year head coach said his players were going through the motions through most of the two-hour session, failing to execute plays sharply and appearing to lack focus for the majority of the evening.
The team&8217;s disappointing outing came on the heels of its first 7-on-7 competition of the summer, a trip that produced two wins and prompted Demopolis coaches to laud the squad&8217;s effort.
Causey did report being impressed with the work ethic and production of the offensive and defensive line groups.
Causey said the poor session would have no long-reaching effects, citing a strong coaching staff as reason for his confidence in the Tigers&8217; chances of having a bounce-back day next week.
