Montgomery — 2008 Accountability Data will be released to the public during the Alabama Board of Education’s monthly K-12 meeting, at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, in the auditorium of the Gordon Persons Building at 50 N. Ripley Street in Montgomery.
The meeting is open to the public.
State Board of Education members, State Superintendent of Education Joe Morton, and other State Department of Education staff will provide data and analysis, and respond to questions on Alabama’s Accountability Program, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), student assessments, school choice, school rewards, and other pertinent information.
Marengo County Schools Superintendent Dr. Luke Hallmark said he expects the county system to do well for the second straight year on its AYP scores.
During a board of education meeting earlier this week, he told board members that he didn’t forsee any county school having major issues with AYP scores.
