Pleas heard in Circuit Court

A small number of guilty pleas were accepted Tuesday during the spring Marengo County criminal court term. Circuit Court Judge Eddie Hardaway Jr., who handed down the following sentences, heard the motions.

Andrew Dewayne Ervin pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and was sentenced to four years in the state department of corrections. It was suspended and he was sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

April Odom Forehand pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and was sentenced to four years. It was suspended and she was placed on one year of probation.

Forehand also pleaded guilty to second-degree theft of property, for which she received four years in the department of corrections. It was suspended and she was placed on one year of supervised probation.

Franklin Johnson pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary. He was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail.

Donald Jones pled guilty to second-degree theft of property. He received three years in the department of corrections. It was suspended and he was placed under one year of supervised probation.

Cedrick Leon Kirk pled guilty to second-degree theft of property. He received four years in the department of corrections, which was suspended. He was placed under one year of unsupervised probation.
