James Allen, Sr.

James William Allen, Sr., age 83, of Livingston died on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
A native of Reform, he was a retired lumber inspector.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at the Kidd-Robbins Chapel with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. The family received friends from 12:30 to the time of the service. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Mr. Allen was survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Ruzic Allen of Livingston; two daughters, Mary Anne (Darrell) Cramer of Demopolis and Teresa (Sid) Brumfield of Dothan; a son, Jimmy (Brenda) Allen of Demopolis; two sisters, Mable Gandy of Belmont and Doris (Frank) Glass of Linden; three brothers, Stewart (Settie) Allen of Belmont, Wayne (Tina) Allen of Prattville and Bobby (Pearl) Allen of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, Darrell S. Cramer Jr., Rusty Cramer, Tony Cramer, Angie Reynolds, Chris Allen, Melissa Brumfield and Russell Brumfield; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Darrell S. Cramer III, Rusty Cramer, Tony Cramer, Chris Allen, Russell Brumfield and Thomas Cramer. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Judy C. Travis and nurses, Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital and nurses, DCH doctors and nurses, Northport Hospital doctors and nurses and the Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home staff and nurses.
