Ruth Hebson

Ruth Ethridge Hebson, age 86, of Auburn died on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Oak Park Nursing Home in Auburn.
She was a longtime member of Sylacauga First United Methodist Church, the Cherokee Garden Club and the Marble City Music Study Club, all in Sylacauga. She served with the American Red Cross from 1962 to 1973.
Services were held on Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga with the Rev. Sinde Martin officiating. Friends were received on Monday, April 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment followed the service in the Marble City Cemetery in Sylacauga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Hebson Sr., six sisters, two brothers and one grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Mac (Renee) Hebson of Auburn and Harold (Patti) Hebson of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Ann Baker, and her special friend, Keith Tillman of Linden; five grandchildren, Bryan Hebson of Stlanta, Ga., David Baker of Denver, Colo., Beth Baker of Linden, WO2 Philip Hebson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Elicia Hebson of Fort Worth, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Dorryien Baker and Emily Baker.
