Greensboro Rodeo set for Friday, Saturday

The fifth annual Greensboro Rodeo is set for Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, at Lion’s Park in Greensboro.
The gates open at 5 p.m., and the grand entrance featuring the Hale County Riding Club begins at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults and children age 11 and older, $5 for children 3-10 and free for children 2 and under.
The 3R Rodeo Company will put on this Professional Cowboy Association-sanctioned rodeo. Rowdy Pope will be the announcer.
Events include bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, bareback riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding and barrel racing.
Children will also want to get involved in the action with the gold rush and mutton bustin’. Mutton bustin’ sign-up is at 5:30 p.m. with a cost of $5. The maximum weight limit for children participating in mutton bustin’ is 70 pounds.
Grilled hamburgers hot dogs and other refreshments will be available.
