For the second consecutive year Mother Nature will change the Demopolis Public Library’s Movies Under the Stars event to Movies Under the Roof.

The event, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Demopolis City Landing, has been moved to Theo Ratliff Center tomorrow night at 6 p.m.

The featured movie will be “Tale of Despereaux.”

The movie, an animation featuring Matthew Broderick, Dustin Hoffman and Emma Watson among others, is a tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess.

The event was originally brought to Demopolis by SouthernLINC in 2007. At the time, Demopolis was one of many stops on a tour of the state and parts of Georgia. In 2008, Demopolis was not included on the schedule.

At that time, it became a project of the Demopolis Public Library children’s librarian Kelley Tarpley and director Morgan Grimes.
