POTW: Kathleen Randall

O.K. so it is summer. And maybe Tuesday’s games against Sweet Water and Wetumpka won’t mean a thing in terms of record. But senior-to-be Kathleen Randall certainly showed up with the intention of taking advantage of the summer work opportunity.
“She’s got the best attitude,” DHS head softball coach Joey Browder said of Randall. “She’s just easygoing. We got through with the second game and she asked for the keys to the weight room.”
Randall’s work ethic has begun to show through on the diamond. She had two singles and a two-run home run Tuesday as Demopolis’ designated player.
“I pushed her up to the three hole today,” Browder said of his recognition of Randall’s capacity for run production. “Kathleen works hard and she listens and she’s just consistently gotten better. We can be as good as her bat is.”
