Alfred Henry Louis Harless, age 82, of Faunsdale did on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis.
He was born on May 21, 1927, in Tuscaloosa County to the late James Daniel and Eliza Crocker Harless.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Watkins Harless of Faunsdale; two sons, Alfred (Linda) Harless of Mount Harmon and Danny (Rita) Harless of Faunsdale; one sister, Lewis Waldrop of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren, Lance Harless, Jim Harless, Peggy Harless andJenny Duncan; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Mount Harmon Cemetery with the Rev. Trish Brunner officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel is directing the services.
