The Alabama Forestry Commission (AFC), in cooperation with the Marengo County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, has arrested and charged two brothers, each with two counts of receiving stolen property, first-degree, a class B felony.

Dwight Devan Johnson, 46, of Magnolia, AL was arrested Friday, November 6 and Aymar Johnson, 44, of Uniontown, AL was arrested Monday, November 9, 2009. Law enforcement officers recovered a 2001 John Deere Skidder, valued at approximately $80,000.00 which was stolen in Greene County and a John Deere 650 bulldozer stolen from the Selma area.

If convicted, the two brothers could face up to 20 years in jail and $30,000.00 in fines for each count. Both men were taken to the Marengo County Jail and released after posting bond.
