Thursday night, the University of West Alabama gave the community a good look at its operation of the Demopolis Higher Education Center. The open house, which lasted approximately two hours was well attended and looked to be a strong show of support from the people of Demopolis.

We could not be happier to have UWA assume management of this facility. They have already shown their committment to the city in so many ways, including electing to host several sporting events here.

We are grateful that UWA has embraced Demopolis so tightly and were proud to see city leaders return that embrace Thursday night.
