Lower Pool Park will close indefinitely for construction beginning Monday, Jan. 11.

Construction signs will be posted on the grounds and foot traffic and parking will be prohibited while the park is closed.

“The majority of the work will be in paving and doing some work to Boat Ramp Number One,” said Valencia Young, with the Demopolis Corps. “There has also been some discussions about adding an overlook, as well.”

Over the upcoming months, Lower Pool Park will be renovated to better serve the needs of visitors and the surrounding areas.
