The Communications Workers of America union for the New Era Cap plant in Derby, N.Y., voted to ratify the tentative agreement with the company. The action will make the Derby plant the sole manufacturer for New Era Cap Co., with the Demopolis plant closing by mid-year, completing the consolidation plans announced by the company in November.

In a statement released by New Era Cap Co., the company announced that it will begin meeting with CWA officials on Wednesday to discuss severance packages for the employees in the Demopolis facility.
