A large crowd turned out for the first Scale Back Alabama class last on Feb. 2. Classes for the general public are held every Tuesday night from 6 to 6:30 in the Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital classroom throughout the event.

Each participant receives valuable information on many different topics designed to help them in their 10-week journey to better health. There are also fun games and competitions and door prizes for those attending the classes. There are a total of 35 teams (140 people) participating in Scale Back this year.
