State legislators who represent Marengo County are issuing a joint announcement concerning job opportunities for their constituents.
Sen. Bobby Singleton, Sen. Hank Sanders, Rep. A.J. McCampbell, Rep. Ralph Howard and Rep. Thomas Jackson encourage constituents to take part in the U.S. Census Workshops for Employment in Demopolis.
The initial workshop is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center on North Commissioners Avenue.
The Census Bureau is hiring hundreds of thousands of temporary workers to fill a variety of census positions across the country. Area residents can apply to earn good weekly pay, enjoy flexible hours and be part of an historic opportunity to serve their country and their immediate communities.
Citizens are asked to attend, go through a practice examination and present questions they may have regarding the U.S. Census.
