Bessie Peppenhorst Dixon, age 93, of Linden died on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis.
She was born on Sept. 25, 1916, in Shiloh. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three son, Dennis (Ann) Dixon of Thomasville, Bobby Dixon of Myrtlewood and Robert (Julia) Dixon of Linden; a daughter, LaVada Dixon of Linden; a sister, Ann (Marvin) Stein of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden on Monday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W.J. Cannon officiating. Burial was at Shiloh Cemetery in Dixon’s Mill. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed the services.
Active pallbearers were George Peppenhorst, Jim Peppenhorst, Pete Peppenhorst, Joe Dixon, Jim Dixon and Lee Dixon.
